The Health Finance and Governance project has worked with the National Health Mission in Punjab to conduct an assessment of the routine health information systems across three districts in the state. The assessment team utilized the Performance of Routine Information Systems (PRISM) Framework to conduct the exercise, including the Performance Diagnostic Tool, the Overview and Facility/Office Checklist, the Management Assessment Tool and the Organizational and Behavioral Assessment Tool (OBAT). Site visits for data collection and interviews were conducted over a six-week period from mid-June 2014 to late-July 2014. Based on the data collected and analyzed from 24 health facilities across the three districts of Barnala, Mansa and Patiala, this report contains the key findings and recommendations from the PRISM assessment.
