On April 28 and 29, Haiti’s Ministry of Health will host a high-level conference to build commitment and momentum to defining a health financing strategy for the nation. The conference, “Access to health care for all in Haiti: Challenges and perspectives for funding,” will be streamed live. Registration for the live-stream is now open.
The conference is designed to launch the effort to develop Haiti’s first health financing strategy, a critical step toward achieving universal health coverage. Speakers have been identified as key representatives of the public and non-state sectors who will play a critical role in the development and implementation of the health financing strategy. In addition, experts from Ghana and Ethiopia will share the aspects of the health financing strategy experience of their countries that might inspire and encourage Haiti.
