Health Systems Global
Health Systems Global is the first international society focused solely on promoting health systems research. HSG acts as a catalyst for researchers, decision-makers, and implementers to conduct and utilize health systems research in order to strengthen health systems, and aims to build the capacity for health systems research in low- and middle-income countries. The organization has more than 1,200 members from all over the world.
Financing Global Health Data Visualization Tool
The Financing Global Health Data Visualization tool, created by the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), shows trends in development assistance for health (DAH) from 1990 to 2013. “Explore DAH levels and changes over time by source, channel, recipient region, and health focus area. Compare DAH given or received to population, disability-adjusted life years, gross domestic product, and government health expenditure.”
USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse
“USAID’s Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC) is the largest online resource for USAID-funded technical and project materials, with over 200,000 items available for review or download. The DEC holds USAID’s institutional memory, spanning over 50 years; including documents, images, video and audio materials. The DEC collects research reports, evaluations and assessments, contract information, tutorials, policy and planning documents, activity information sheets, and training materials. Members of the USAID community can easily search the DEC using keywords to find resources.” For Health Systems 20/20 Resources, click here.
Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage
“Governments around the world are struggling to navigate the legal, financial, and political frameworks of their countries to determine the best path toward universal health coverage (UHC) reforms. The Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage (JLN) is a unique practitioner-to-practitioner learning network that is connecting low- and middle-income countries with one another so that they can learn from one another’s successes and challenges with implementing UHC, jointly solve problems, and collectively produce and use new knowledge, tools, and innovative approaches to accelerate country progress and avoid ‘recreating the wheel’.”
Harmonization for Health in Africa
“Harmonization for Health in Africa (HHA) is a collaborative initiative by AfDB, JICA, NORAD, UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, USAID, WHO and WB to provide regional support to governments in Africa in strengthening their health systems.
